SJSA Proudly announces
The
Bennie L. Campton
For the Kids
Award
Awarded to an outstanding coach or volunteer who demonstrates leadership, integrity and a selfless commitment to the
children and community of
South Jeffco
“Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions. And the actions which speak louder than the words. It is making the time when there is none. Coming through time after time after time, year after year. Commitment is the stuff character is made of; the power to change the face of things.”
This award is established in the name of Coach Bennie L. Campton. South Jeffco Sports Association recognizes Bennie Campton for his unselfish dedication to youth by volunteering his time as a youth sports coach for over 40 years. In that time, Coach Bennie has coached 1000’s of our children. There is no telling how many other lives he has touched through his commitment, but it is safe to say that he has made a positive impact because of his devotion.
He has set the standard in our association through his selfless loyalty to the children of our community by placing kids above all else.
“Bennie is a person with a ton of patience, the ability to see beyond the current event to the end result, and creates enthusiasm in kids through is easy going lovable nature.” ~ Parent of a Former Player

Text of the presentation Made Friday November 14th 2008
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The South Jeffco Sports association asks you to direct your attention to midfield. The South Jeffco Board of Directors at this time would like to recognize Bennie Campton for his unselfish dedication to youth by volunteering his time as a youth sports coach for over 40 years.
Coach Bennie began coaching in South Jeffco 40 years ago in 1968 and continues coaching to this day. He has volunteered his time and knowledge by coaching all sports which include Football, Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys Baseball, and Girls Softball.
In that time, Coach Bennie has coached 1000’s of our children, some of which are here with us tonight to honor his unselfish dedication. There is no telling how many other lives he has touched through his commitment, but it is safe to say that he has made a positive impact because of his devotion.
He has set the standard in our association through his selfless loyalty to the children of our community by placing kids above all else.
To honor him we are proud to announce the creation of a perpetual “Outstanding Service Award” which will be presented annually to a deserving volunteer within our South Jeffco family. This honor will carry the name “The Bennie L. Campton For the Kids Award”.
We are honored to call Coach Bennie one of our own and hope that you will join us in saying thank you to a truly rare and special person.
